Item Description

A superb quality "Alpine-type" specimen of GEM quality, colorless, prismatic, hexagonal Quartz with a partial coating of semi-translucent, white colored pseudo-rhombic (monoclinic) crystals of Adularia on one side. The piece is nearly damage free, and even the base of the piece is mostly re-crystallized, making it a near "floater" specimen. The faces have a WET luster with distinctive striated faces along the prism. It's nearly WATER CLEAR inside and displays very well from several angles. It's hard to photograph and looks BETTER in person. Ex Herb Obodda, and valued at $1500.
