Item Description

A beautiful cabinet sized quartz matrix specimen, unique for Arkansas and the USA - and perhaps the world because of the association with Adularia matrix. Adularia was known from the Hamilton Hill in the late 1800s and a recent dig by James Zigras' Avant Mining Company in around 2013, rediscovered the old locality. Quartz on adularia some golden adularia phantoms. Unique material from this mine which opened in 1865! Hamilton Hill Mine, Garland County, Arkansas, USA. Adularia of this quality from any USA location is rare, and this historic material was seldom seen until these new finds. They have not found another pocket since 2013.
