Item Description

The Peña Blanca Mine in Colombia has produced some of the finest quality Quartz crystals of any South American locality. The best of these crystals have OPTIC WATER CLEAR clarity with superb crystal form and supreme colorless purity. This crystal is a great example of said material featuring an excellent, sharp, highly lustrous single prism with a beautiful transitional hexagonal habit. The wonderful reflective luster is amplified by the disticnt horizontal striations that can be seen all over the crystal. The piece is in wonderful condition, save a spot of contact on the back where it was at one point attached to the pocket wall.
