Quartz w/ Orthoclase (Fioravanti Coll.)

Item Description

This very nifty and aesthetic cluster of variably-sized quartz crystals looks just like a set of organ pipes! The sharp orthoclase crystals are a fine accent to the glassy quartz points. Complete front and back and top to bottom and essentially a floater! Some of the crystals are doubly terminated. Very nearly pristine, with only the large "pipe" at the top having trivial termination bruising. Very fine Sardinia material from the Giancarlo Fioravanti Collection and obtained in a trade in Sardenia in 1970. Quartz and orthoclase combinations are VERY RARE from the Arbus area localities listed in MINDAT. Possibly unique??
