Quartz w/ Magnesite (Robertson Coll.)

Item Description

Attractively intergrown, water-clear, sharply terminated quartz points from this famous locale. The fine 360-degree small cabinet is nicely accented with glassy, colorless magnesite crystals, both on and included-in the crystals. The crystals have unusual form AND the termination faces are preferentially etched, adding pizzazz. Choice and aesthetic Brumado quartz and magnesite from the Kay Robertson Collection # 8905 and acquired at Tucson in 1980. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien-Welt" November-December 2017).
