Item Description

The famous quartz crystals from Denny Mountain, Washington are highly desirable, difficult to obtain and very dangerous to collect. Several people have lost their lives collecting there, over the years. A striking, complete all-around pair of translucent, sceptered quartz crystals has highly unusual, very dense, sparkly, stepped-growth faces and nifty side car crystals at the base. Rare for the locale, sparkly tiny hematite plates are richly sprinkled on all sides along with coatings of iron oxides. Complete all-around and nearly pristine. A side car crystal has a broken tip and a lower contact on the back, where other crystals one lay, is essentially damage-free. A rare varietal, such as this, is supremely desirable. Self-collected by Karl Faddis (a Seattle-area native collector) in the 1980s or 1990s.
