Quartz w/ hematite phantoms (excellent - rare)

This dramatic large quartz specimen has the most incredible, sharp and colorful phantoms you could possibly imagine! Bright, rust-red, dentritic hematite is visible in all of the crystals, with the sharply terminated phantom in the large crystal being the fabulous coup de grace. The water-clear crystals have lightly frosted faces. The sculptural quality is obviously most dramatic. Out of sight very modest termination bruising is noted to the back of the two large crystals and certainly has no impact on the surreal impact of this over-the-top specimen. From a small early 1990s find and is supposedly the best piece from the pocket. Valued at $1000-1500. We bought this back in the early 1990s from Gilbert Gauthier before he passed away. Unique!
