Hambergite is extremely rare from this famous California locale. Two, snow-white, parallel-growth, tabular hambergite crystals to 1.5 cm are clearly visible in the lower portion of the glassy, translucent, euhedral, smoky quartz crystal. Outstanding and very rare combination material from the Little Three Mine with an excellent provenance of 3 San Diego collectors, having been in the John Sinkankas, Walters, and Chuck Houser Collections. Walters' label notes the trade from Sinkankas. She was a major quartz collector in San Diego for decades
