Quartz w/ Chlorite phantom

Item Description

Specimens from this obscure Arkansas quartz mine are very rare. The water-clear termination area of this doubly terminated crystal hosts a striking series of stacked, chevron-shaped, rich green, chlorite layers. Most of the prism faces are fully to partially coated or included with iron oxides. Some termination edge wear is noted, as contacting, with no damage, per se, on one prism face. The mine was active in the 1930s or sporadically since. Undoubtably old material with high rarity and quality. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!
