Item Description
Mineral specimens of ANY species are RARE from this North Carolina county. This is striking and outstanding large cluster of quartz crystals is included with fabulous chlorite phantoms. The major, glassy, transparent to translucent crystals have stunning, tent- or chevron-shaped, hollow, green chlorite phantoms. The major crystals are all pristine. This aesthetic, 360-degree specimen is from the Philadelphia Academy of Sciences Collection and is undoubtably from the 1800s or early 1900s, at the latest. The numbers match. It comes with a custom-made and engraved lucite base valued at $150, for free. Try to find another North Carolina specimen remotely like this unique piece! This was sold/valued at $2000 from the previous dealer who dispersed the collection, to the previous owner.
