Quartz (var Smoky) with Spessartine

Item Description

A very nice duo of very glassy, transparent Smoky Quartz crystals with minor white granular Albite at the base sprinkled with a gemmy, tangerine-orange Spessartine Garnet crystals. The smokies are stout and lustrous with horizontal striae that make them scintillate in the presence of any incident light! See the photos! The Spessartine crystals are between 1 to 3mm, very glassy and transparent with forms dominated by the dodecahedron and they nicely accent one side of the Quartz crystals and a few are found on the white Albite at the base. An attractive piece!
