Item Description
A sharp, pristine, doubly-terminated smoky quartz, rare for the locality and of fine shape for a San Diego smoky quartz for any mine in the County, for that matter. This is complete all around, a floater. It is from the personal San Diego County collection of well known miner and collector Bill Larson of San Diego. Not the most gemmy smoky you ever saw, but a really neat crystal to hold in the hand, with some subtle color features. 548 grams, so over a pound in weight.
