Item Description
In its heyday, the well-known Dodo Mine in the Polar Urals produced an excellent suite of alpine-cleft type minerals. This exquisite cluster, likely from the major mining done in the late 1980s, certainly brings to mind its great cousins from the Swiss and French Alps. Clarity, color, and glassy luster are all exceptional, and the crystals are in very good condition with a surprisingly small amount of wear. The cluster sits on a matrix of very fine, sparkly, green schist, and the largest crystal is 6.6 cm and DOUBLY-TERMINATED! High quality and aesthetics characterize this small-cabinet piece, and as a bonus it was published in Lapis, p. 18, #3, March, 1995. No Repairs, No damage.
