Item Description

Moat Mountain is a well-known locality in New Hampshire for its wonderful Microcline and Quartz combinations. This piece is a classic and showy example featuring a prominent, sharp, very lustrous, richly colored Smoky Quartz prism measuring 3.0 cm, associated with little groups of Albite on cream colored Microcline matrix. I cannot see any damage to the Smoky Quartz crystal with the naked eye. A very good example of these classic specimens. From the collection of Gerry Morvell #GM1101A.
