Item Description

Really cute and much sought after small cabinet smoky quartz crystal specimen from this well-known Australian locale - Mooralla, Victoria. A very aesthetic cluster of gemmy, highly lustrous prisms, to 2.7 cm, with pretty variable smoky hues is nicely placed on the contrasting, sparkly, druzy quartz covered rhyolite matrix. Interestingly, these come from geodes. From the Bill Larson Quartz collection case, of approximately 250 specimens, which we bought in 2023. It was a long-term, very diverse mix on display for decades at the Pala International shop as an educational and fun exhibit. It was started back in the late 1970s. Classic and excellent smoky quartz from the locale.
