Quartz var: Smoky and Amethyst (''phantom'' crystal)

The prolific and renowned Quartz deposits in the Goboboseb Mountains of Namibia have been producing some of the most distinctive and beautiful examples of the species for a couple decades now. Even though a good number of crystals have been found, no two pieces are quite alike, and there are all kinds of variations in terms of color and morphology that make these pieces so interesting. This specimen is a very sharp, well-formed, highly lustrous, gemmy Quartz crystal with a great combination of purple Amethyst, Smoky Quartz and colorless Quartz color zoning, creating excellent defined internal "phantoms". The piece is complete all around, with no damage that I can find anywhere with the naked eye. This is a really fine piece for the material, it's a must-have for any fan of Quartz or minerals from the Erongo Region of Namibia. It's one of those pieces that certainly looks better in your hand in person, and we've done our best to illustrate the quality in the video, but take my word for it, this one is very good.
