Item Description
Photos say it all - this is LITERALLY as good as it gets for a classic Swiss gem smoky quartz miniature. This is a perfect specimen - prstine, gemmy, with robust color and the desirable tiny details of surface growth patterns you see so well in the photos. It glows smoky to black, depending on the lighting, and in lower light is so glassy and reflective that it looks more black, even thought it is 100% gemmy and transparent. We are truly honored to present this specimen from another lot of deaccessions from the collection of Jack Halpern of San Francisco, as featured in the Mineralogical Record, March 2005.
