Item Description
Specimens from the Dodo Mine in Russia are rarely available on the market. The specimens from this locality are "Alpine-type", and are quite similar to the true Alpine pieces from Alps in Europe. This piece certainly reminds one of a classic Swiss Smoky Quartz group in terms of form and quality. This is a gorgeous and showy Smoky Quartz specimen from the Dodo Mine featuring a group of attractive, very sharp, highly lustrous, GEM quality, beautiful cognac colored prismatic hexagonal crystals, free of matrix. I can't find any damage anywhere with the naked eye, save minor imperfections. A very eye-catching and certainly incredibly hard to find locality specimen that would make a fine addition to any Quartz suite.
Ex Colin Manlove Collection.
