Quartz var: Rose with Albite

Without a doubt, a good number of the finest specimens of crystallized Rose Quartz in the world are those from the Pitorra Claim in Brazil. Rose Quartz is most often seen in massive / uncrystallized formations in many world localities, and good sharp crystals are actually not that common. Most of the Rose Quartz you'll see from around the world are often hazy in terms of their clarity, and this is due to the fact that the color is created by micro inclusions of a fibrous pink colored unidentified mineral which is related to Dumortierite - see the photo at this link for a fantastic close up of what these inclusions look like ( https://www.mindat.org/photo-743314.html ). This piece features fine, sharp, well-formed, gemmy, soft pink colored crystals, with a notable "stepped" growth (almost like "alligator" Quartz) on the surface, which are beautifully intermixed with white Albite, creating a dazzling effect. The back of the specimen features a partial crystal of Quartz (with a very light silvery hue). No damage and VERY eye-catching.
