Item Description
Some of the finest specimens of crystallized Rose Quartz in the world are those from the Pitorra Claim in Brazil. While massive / uncrystallized Rose Quartz is found in many world localities, good sharp crystals are actually not that common. Most of the Rose Quartz you'll see from around the world are often hazy in terms of their clarity, and this is due to the fact that the color is created by micro inclusions of a fibrous pink colored unidentified mineral which is related to Dumortierite - see the photo at this link for a fantastic close up of what these inclusions look like ( https://www.mindat.org/photo-743314.html ). With that said, this piece has only a slight internal haziness, featuring sharp, gemmy, classic pink color, hexagonal crystals of Rose Quartz, with no matrix. If you look closely, you can see that several crystals feature attractive scepter habit growth.
