Item Description
Rose Quartz from the mines in Galileia are among the most noted in the world, and were first discovered in the 1970's. This fine miniature is composed of 4-5 mm crystals, gemmy and frosted with a soft pink color. I'm not sure what it is about the specific growing conditions or the chemistry of Rose Quartz, but classic specimens often have the crystals growing in wreaths, wrapping themselves around the matrix as we see here. Rose Quartz remains uncommon, and quality, aesthetic specimens are hard to find.
