Item Description

The famous crystallized Rose Quartz specimens from the Pitorra Claim in Brazil are among the finest examples of this pink Quartz variety ever found. This particular specimen is a fine display piece with notably saturated pink color (which is due to micro Dumortierite inclusions), and is filled with sharp, lustrous, gemmy, prismatic crystals, some of which show "scepter" habit and "fenster" ("window") habit growth. The crystals are sharp and gemmy, with good luster, and measure up to 3.0 cm long. A bit of attached cream colored Feldspar can be seen on the back of the piece. It's complete on all sides with no major damage I can find. This is the kind of piece that stands out from other Rose Quartz crystals for its rich coloring, quality & style, and would make a great addition to any Quartz suite, or a collection of either gem pegmatite minerals or Brazilian minerals.
