Item Description

RARE and outstanding water-clear gem citrine crystal with fine yellow color from this famous locality known for some of the finest USA Emerald crystals and exceptional green Spodumene variety Hiddenite crystals. The very glassy crystal has a striking, sharp, complex termination nicely accented with stepped-growth prism faces. Complete all-around and essentially pristine. The contact on the back where another crystal once lay, has no damage, per se. Ex John Whatley Collection and acquired from well-known North Carolina miner, Jerry Ledford, in 2002. Collected by Wren Adams of the Adams Mine in calculated 1998. John was a well-known Georgia collector (1939-2022). He had many interests and hobbies. His favorite hobby was collecting rocks and minerals and he was a member of the Augusta and Aiken, SC Gem and Mineral Society.
