Chrysoprase is not a species, but a variety of Quartz that contains Ni-bearing silicates to create the gorgeous green color. Knowledgeable collectors will tell you that some of the finest quality and most well-known specimens of Chrysoprase are those from Marlborough, Queensland, Australia. The color and consistency of the best specimens is truly wonderful, and singular in their quality. This piece features rich blue-green color, translucent to gemmy formations of Chrysoprase with white Quartz on the exteriors edges.
