Item Description
A cool polished nodule of Agate that is said to be from Mongolia, but no specific locality was given. The piece is rather unsuspecting on the exterior, as you can see it's a plain brownish hue, with no distinct features, but someone knew to cut it in half and polish it to reveal the beautiful interior. A few streaks of soft blue-grey Agate can be seen against a starkly contrasting brown background with some lighter golden bands as well. The lines are so parallel and uniform that the piece almost reminds me of some kind of petrified wood, because I can see what looks like a "wood grain" appearance. Very attractive, and certainly desirable just for the oddball locality.
