Item Description
This is the ONLY example of this material that we've ever had to offer in the auctions. This a gorgeous, large and fine quality faceted Chalcedony from Flint Ridge, Ohio with a gentle lavender hue. When backlit, the color is a bit more of a peachy-golden tone, and while the stone is not transparent, it does pass light. The beautiful "Emerald" cut highlights the quality, size and color of this incredibly hard to find locality gem. A must have for any rare locality collector of a fan of Midwestern gems.
From the collection of Jim Houran. The stone was cut by Jay Medici, one of the great US gem cutters of the last few decades, and it comes with a paper from The Gem Trader verifying its authenticity.
