Impressive and sculptural large amethyst plate from famed Piedra Parada (Las Vigas). Pretty blush-purple, gemmy and lustrous, amethyst crystals are richly and aesthetically scattered on the matrix plate. The prisms reach 3.3 cm tall. We count 5 uncommon scepters on the piece, including the two largest crystals, which adds panache. Very nearly pristine, for all of the many crystals, with only one hard-to-see broken crystal in the middle of the plate. Ex Gary Weaver Collection, a well-known California and Arizona collector. He passed away in 2019, and this is older material from his collection. Classic and excellent large amethyst from the noted locale with uncommon scepters.
