Item Description
The famed Thunder Bay Amethyst specimens are among the most attractive Quartz specimens from any locality North America. These beautiful specimens are not only well-crystallized with fine color, but they are often seen with inclusions or coatings of red Hematite. The contrast of the beautiful purple Amethyst with the Hematite makes for some really eye-catching display pieces. This cabinet specimen is filled with razor-sharp, highly lustrous, translucent, purple pyramidal Amethyst crystals with beautiful brick red spots from inclusions / coatings of Hematite. Good shape and no damage to virtually all of the crystals. but it's contacted around the periphery where it detached from the pocket wall. The largest crystal measures 2.0 cm. Valued $1,500.
