An attractive cluster of glassy, lustrous Amethyst crystals from the lesser-known Diamond Willow Mine in Thunder Bay. The upper portions of the crystals are lustrous, and they have a pleasant mix of purple and brick red (from the inclusion of Hematite). From the side you can see purple zoning formed during the growth of the Amethyst, and the largest of the crystals is 1.7 cm across. Highly representative material from the famous Thunder Bay District of Ontario, this miniature has the beautiful mix of purple and rust tones that make these so popular with collectors.
