Item Description

A beautiful specimen from the Fat Jack Mine in Arizona featuring a group of very sharp, rather lustrous, well-formed hexagonal crystals of Quartz showing both light purple Amethyst and silvery / Smoky colored zones inside when backlit. The group is very close to being a complete "floater" as the back/bottom has been recrystallized ("re-healed") where it detached from the pocket wall, so it's largely crystallized all over, with no major damage. I can see a few small nicks, but it's in very good shape. This particular style is uncommon from this locality, this piece is excellent and uncommon in this size and quality specimen from this former small gold and silver mine.
Ex Les Presmyk specimen (De Natura).
