Item Description

A gemmy, 1.3 cm, pretty blush-purple amethyst scepter is dramatically perched atop a very sculptural quartz crystal cluster on this aesthetic and outstanding small cabinet from famed Mogok. The scepter rests on a 2.3 cm quartz stalk atop a striking jackstraw cluster of pristine small quartz crystals. See the fine and extensive Mogok article in the 2022 Mineralogical Record, Vol. 53, No.1. From the Bill Larson Quartz collection case, of approximately 250 specimens, which we bought in 2023. It was a long-term, very diverse mix on display for decades at the Pala International shop as an educational and fun exhibit. It was started back in the late 1970s. Amethyst scepters are UNCOMMON from the famous gem fields of Mogok, Myanmar (Burma) and this is a very artistic and excellent small cabinet.
