Quartz var: Amethyst (rare for the locality)

Item Description

A fine quality crystal of these rarely seen Quartz specimens from Tonto Village, Arizona. This small cabinet piece features a single, very sharp, rather lustrous, well-formed, hexagonal crystals which is largely colorless, but the tip shows a seldom-seen purple Amethyst hue. Almost all of the Quartz specimens I've seen from this area are colorless, so to have one even with a LITTLE color is certainly noteworthy, and makes the piece all the more desirable. Fine quality all around, no damage I can find on the front/display side.
