Item Description
Jacksons Crossroads is one of the most well-known modern specimen producing localities in the United States. Truly, it is mined for only one mineral, but it has yielded some amazing, large, impressive Amethyst crystals and groups, which are famous around the world. This piece is an attractive example of this classic material featuring a group of Amethyst with sharp, well-formed faces with good luster and a mix of purple and nearly colorless hues in the center. The piece is doubly-terminated, and each end is VERY gemmy, while the piece is mostly translucent in the center. The piece is in good shape overall, but there is a decent sized separation mark on one side where another Quartz crystal was attached at some point in time. Classic material from one of the premier Amethyst localities in the world.
