Item Description
This is a flower-like cluster example of amethyst from the famous Reel mine in North Carolina, an old USA classic! The amethyst from this locality is known for its dark tips, typically attributed to high iron concentrations. This cluster, with crystals up to approximately 3cm, has great color saturation and many of the crystals exhibit these darker tips. Looks great when backlit! It is particularly good in this size range for the location. Larger specimens, usually somewhat clunky and less evenly colored, are more common on the market. This is more aesthetic and colorful! Ex. David Dinsmore.
