Quartz var: Amethyst / Agate Geode (2 piece set)

Item Description

Here we have a lovely 2-piece Quartz-lined geode set from Las Choyas, Mexico featuring crystallized lilac Amethyst points with beautifully banded blue Agate around the periphery. One of the halves features a smoky brown colored columnar Calcite crystal measuring 2.9 cm for a nice touch. Both halves of the geode are polished showing a beautiful mixture of colors.
This set comes from the collection of Willard W. Wulff (1904-1998) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, a prominent figure and collector of Colorado minerals. Wulff was one of the founding members of the Colorado Springs Mineralogical Society in 1936.
