Item Description

Super sharp, highly lustrous, and gemmy, these Amethyst crystals are from the famous Veracruz area in Mexico. The largest of these choice crystals is 4.4 cm, and this pair of 'rabbit ears' are complemented by a nest of smaller, equally sharp crystals down near the base. The high luster and brightness accent the subtle variations in the purple coloration, making the aesthetics just that much more impactful. This small cabinet piece shows why Veracruz Amethysts are sought-after and considered one of the true "collector quality" Amethysts of the world. Recently deaccessed from the Tim Sherburn collection. A superb small cabinet specimen. Valued $1500.
