These Amethyst crystals from Las Vigas are classic. But so few "smaller" pieces really are superb, as opposed to just small in size. This is one of the best insize class: They are known for both their dark purple terminations and edging, which accents the gemminess and excellent, glassy luster. The largest crystal is 2.1 cm, and they are in very good condition. This is a lovely cluster from this famous Mexican locality. The aesthetics are increased by the balance of the spray, allowing it to be displayed from either side. This is valued highly, much better than the average "small" veracruz, including some from recent finds. The gape juice color in the tips here shows it as an older piece, still to my mind the best of all.
