Lovingly referred to as "Cactus Quartz", this fine small-cabinet piece is found in the Boekenhoutshoek area in Africa. The Amethyst is a nicely-colored purple, but what really stands out on this, as in all the specimens, are the fields of Quartz crystals that girdle the scepters. Scintillating, they add volumes of sparkle and beauty with their high luster and razor-sharp form. These Quartz crystal also contain a healthy amount of Smoky, which adds character and definition to these Quartz crystals that ring the large scepter. This aesthetic specimen displays well in all directions, with the central Quartz crystals dominating the specimen. Erroneously marketed as being from the Magaliesberg Range, these Boekenhoutshoek pieces are instantly recognizable and absolutely unique and exotic in form.
