Item Description

A sharp amethyst crystal of the most classic style from older finds, showing astonishing gemminess, transparency, and color separation in a crystal with glassy luster. The older specimens, such as this, tend to have the best such qualities in our opinion. This crystal has it all - sharp zoning, phantoms, and color contrast. It even has a single veiled phantom layer of smoky quartz, for added interest. It is pristine, save only for the very tiniest little ding or growth feature on the back of one edge. Probably from early 2000s finds, if not earlier; and out of the renowned collection of Namibian dealer/collector, Uli Bahmann.
