Item Description

Colorful and partially translucent agate has replaced this well-preserved, sculptural fossil gastropod (snail) from Morocco. The fossil has sharp, tapered spiral form. Complete all-around and pristine, except for the bruised tip. The translucent agate has a warm golden-brown glow, when backlit. The fossil is Eocene in age - 56 to 33.9 mya. Classic form on this sharp fossil gastropod! We recently obtained a few of these in an old collection.
