Item Description
Often collected from the farmlands of Fife, these Agates are well-known among collectors in the area. This particular polished, complete half-nodule has a lot going for it. The main banding is nicely defined, and the colors are rich and varied. There are several growth centers for banding and mineralization near the edges, and the fully crystallized center is unusual for agates, in general. This is a fine Scottish Agate, aesthetic and detailed. Recently deaccessed from the Tim Sherburn collection.
