Lovely Agate from the Rio Grande do Sul region of Brazil. The definition of the bands is excellent, and the colors complement and contrast each other beautifully, which accentuates the sharp banding even more. No matter how you slice it, this is one of the more aesthetic patterned Agates I have seen from this region, and it displays perfectly from both sides. These pieces were very recently deaccessed from the renowned, wide-ranging collection of Jack Halpern.
