Quartz (uncommon locale) ex Hauck Coll.

Item Description

An aesthetic and very fine cluster of razor-sharp, water-clear, quartz crystals from Arkansas, but from an uncommon locale - Crystal Mountain. Few specimens have been documented from this locality. The quartz crystals, to 5.7 cm, ALL have crackly, preferential etching on one or more crystal faces. Weird chemistry here. ALL of the presentation crystals are pristine. The few broken crystals are on the back of the piece and are essentially out of sight. Older, classic Arkansas material from the Edna Doughty and Richard Hauck Quartz Collections.
