Quartz (uncommon locale)

Item Description

Two striking, water-clear, gem, sharply terminated, parallel-growth quartz crystals are a beautifully set side-by-side on the "tail" of another water-clear, 5.7 cm quartz crystal. The higher crystal is 6.4 cm long and the lower crystal is 7.7 cm long. Stepped-growth faces really accentuate the crystals. The higher, impressive crystal is complete all-around and nearly pristine. Trivial termination edge-wear and an out-of-sight bruise to the back of the termination are noted, but are certainly very modest detractions. The lower, larger crystal is also complete all-around. Contacting, lower on the outside edge is noted, where another crystal once lay, but has minimal bruising, per se. Ex Kurt Hefendehl Collection, a well-known German collector who amassed a world-wide collection of over 6000 pieces. A very fine quartz from this less well-known Austrian locale.
