Quartz ("Ticino" habit)

Item Description

A classic Quartz specimen from the Swiss Alps featuring a predominant, lustrous, sharp, gem quality "Ticino" or "Tessin" habit crystal with the characteristic tapering form. This habit is created by alternating steep rhombohedral and m prism faces approaching the termination. A slight dusting of Clinochlore can be seen on the side of the piece.
