Quartz ("Strawberry" and Smoky scepter)

A very attractive and beautifully colored thumbnail sized specimen of scepter Quartz from Madagascar. The piece features a pink colored stem of 'Strawberry' Quartz which gets its color from iron oxide inclusions (most likely Hematite or Lepidocrocite) that plays host to a VERY gemmy, razor sharp, highly lustrous, well-formed smoky colored 'cap' on top. The piece is complete all the way around with only a few small nicks here and there. If you collect thumbnails, Quartz specimens or simply morphological beauties, this is a wonderful piece to add to your collection for its unique coloring and attractive form.
