Quartz Sphere with Rutile Inclusions

Over the years, Brazil has produced some really beautiful gems of Quartz with Rutile inclusions. You'll see most of these stones polished into cabochons, and occassionally faceted, but this is one of the few polished spheres of the material that we've had to offer in the auctions. This Sphere is a beautiful orb of optic grade colorless Quartz, but if you look closely you'll see thin "hair"-like inclusions of golden Rutile needles suspended inside. The Rutile inclusions are difficult to capture in a video/photo, but they look great in person. If you're a fan of inclusion stone or polished spheres, be sure to pick up this good sized (approaching 200 carats) example of this classic material.
