Item Description

The Liliana Mine in Chihuahua, Mexico is well-known for producing some truly wild crystal habits of Quartz, often with multiple habits within the same crystal / specimen. You'll most often seen some of kind scepter / secondary growth from this locality, which is the case in this specimen, but it has the added distinction of showing attractive "window" of "Fenster" habit faces as well. The main / central crystal has a slight milky hue, which a sceptered overgrowth of bright, lustrous pale smoky Quartz. As you work your way up to the termination, you will dozens of small skeletal or negative faces that are referred to as "Fenster" in German (made famous in the Alps) or more commonly "window" Quartz to most collectors. The piece is in excellent condition all around with very little damage to be seen. It displays well from several sides, and one could spend a good amount of time looking at all the little features and facets that can be seen all over.
