Item Description

A striking, beautiful, 5.7 cm, doubly terminated, quartz crystal is dramatically set on matrix on this very aesthetic combination specimen from this famous gold mine. The limpid quartz crystal, with lightly frosted faces, is adroitly perched on a limpid quartz crystal stalk. The mounded schist matrix is nearly totally covered with very glassy, flattened magnesite rhombs. Isolated, lustrous, translucent, honey-brown, siderite disks to 1.2 cm and a nice sprinkling of iridescent, hexagonal, pyrrhotite plates are super and classic accents to this exceptional piece. Classic and uncommon in this quality older combination material from the 1970s finds from the Herb Obodda dealer stock. Valued by Herb at $400, over five years ago.
