Item Description

A really cool Quartz crystal from the famous pegmatite districts of Colorado that have produced the most famous Amazonite specimens in the world. This piece is an attractive "scepter" crystal that is crystallized virtually all the way around - save the bottom where it detached from the pocket. It has some interesting reddish iron inclusions to give it some charactger. If you're a Quartz collector, or if you collect minerals from the central Colorado pegmatites, don't miss out on this one. From the collection of Allen Heyl, a geologist from Colorado and the namesake for the phosphate Aheylite.
